About the Journal ‘Umaru – Bharathi’
‘Umaru – Bharathi’ is an academic journal published by Government Arts and Science College, Nagalapuram, Thoothukudi District, Tamil Nadu, India. It is an esteemed scholarly journal dedicated to Multidisciplinary Studies which will be published annually by the college. It provides a platform for researchers, scholars, educators, and practitioners to disseminate their research findings, theories, and methodologies in the field of Multidisciplinary Studies. The journal is named after two influential figures in the world of literature, Umaru Puzhavar and Bharathi, who have contributed immensely to the development of Tamil literature and language.

Submission Guidelines
Manuscript Format: Authors should submit manuscripts in English and Tamil (other languages are also welcome). The formatting style is APA (American Psychological Association), MLA (Modern Language Association) Chicago, and AMS. The manuscript should be double-spaced, with a clear and legible font size. It should include an abstract (250-350 words), keywords, introduction, methodology (if applicable), main body, conclusion, and references section.
Originality and Plagiarism: All submitted manuscripts must be original work of the authors and should not have been previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited. Authors should properly cite and acknowledge all sources used in their research. Articles with Plagiarism and AI writing will be rejected.
Manuscript Length: The length of manuscripts can vary based on the nature of the research. The articles can be of 3,000 – 4000 words (excluding abstract, references, tables, and figures).
Supporting Materials: Authors may include supplementary materials such as tables, figures, images, or audio/video files to support their research. These materials should be provided as separate files and clearly referenced within the text. The journal accepts both color and grayscale illustrations.
